How must is the deposit to trial an electric bike?

Our dealers are flexible to meet your needs, however you may be required to pay a small deposit whilst you trial one of our electric bikes - this deposit varies dependant on dealer. This deposit is payable in store once you collect your e-bike and will be fully refunded once you have returned the e-bike back to the dealer. Alternatively, you can request this deposit to be deducted off the cost of your e-bike if you choose to purchase.

Can I buy the exact e-bike I have taken out on trial?

Unfortunately, our trial bikes are not for sale and only for test rides, however you will be able to order the exact same model, size, and colour as the e-bike you have taken out on trial (subject to availability).

How long can I have an electric bike on trial?

Our dealers may have set lengths of time to trial the electric bike you have chosen; however, our dealers are understanding that you may need some additional time to make your decision. If you feel you will need more time to trial the e-bike, ensure to advise the dealer in advance (please note this cannot be guaranteed dependant on diary availability).

How will my deposit be returned?

If you have chosen not to purchase the electric bike, the dealer will check over the e-bike for any damage and then your deposit will be returned onto the same card, you paid with. Please note this may take up to 5 working days to process and we are unable to refund the deposit in cash or on an alternative card.

What happens if a puncture or a fault develops during my test ride?

If a fault develops during your test ride, you will need to return the e-bike back to the dealer’s store. If available, the dealer should provide you with an alternative electric bike, however if that exact model isn’t available the dealer will reschedule your test ride for an alternative date.

What happens if the bike is stolen or involved in an accident?

If you’re unfortunately involved in an accident with the bike, we accept no liability for any injury or damage that may be caused to your or any third party except to the extent this cannot be limited by law. Whilst you are trialling the e-bike, you are responsible for the bike so please ensure you look after it. If the bike is stolen, lost, or damaged during your possession of the e-bike then our dealer reserves the right to keep your deposit and charge you for the cost of the repairs / the bike.

When time do I collect and return my electric bike?

Once you have filled out the test ride enquiry form, the dealer you have chosen will be in touch to confirm your appointment day and time suitable for yourself to collect. The dealer will also discuss an agreed time to return the e-bike.

Will you provide any safety equipment?

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the required safety equipment when you are trialling one of our e-bikes. Please note that our dealers do not provide any additional equipment such as helmets with the trial bike.

What if I am late returning my electric bike?

We can appreciate there could be some delays when trying to return your e-bike back to the dealer. If you feel like you will be running late, please contact the dealer to make them aware and to update them on your ETA. Failing to notify the store and failing to return the bike by the agreed time could result in you forfeiting your deposit.

Do I need to clean the e-bike before I return it?

Whilst testing an electric bike (especially our MTB range) it is expected that the e-bike will collect some dirt and therefore, we do kindly ask and appreciate if you remove any excess mud and dirt before returning the bike into store. After each trial our dealers will check over and thoroughly clean each bike after use to prepare the e-bike for the next customer.

How many e-bikes can I test ride?

We encourage our customers to test ride as many as you feel necessary to help you make the right decision. Our dealers are always on hand to answer any questions and will help you in finding the most suitable model for yourself.

What if I’ve never ridden an e-bike before?

Prior to any test ride our dealers will run through the e-bike basics and will talk you through the multiple features e.g. power modes, how to change gears, and how to operate. Don’t forget if you have any questions our dealers will be happy to assist.
