Is it a legal requirement to wear a helmet while cycling?

No, but we strongly recommend you do.

The law surrounding bicycle helmets becoming mandatory has been in debate for many years, but to date has never been passed.  We do however of course recommend that anyone on two wheels should wear a helmet.
